What kind of website can be hosted by Missing–You.com?

Missing-You.com is open to anyone who would like to create a memorial website for a loved one by documenting their life via text, photos and video. Missing-You.com provides a platform to share your loved one’s story with the world.

Who can upload a site unto Missing-You.com?

Anyone. All you need are some photos and text and about 15 minutes to create the website. You can start with something basic. Later, you can always add more photos, improve the text and insert other features.

Do I control the website?

Yes. You are in charge. As site manager you can choose one of 20 templates and one of the 20 music soundtracks. You write the text and you choose the photos and features to upload to the web site.
You can always change, add and update your site at a later date.

Is the site manager (me) the only one who can add items to the web site?
The only feature open to visitors is to add a bouquet of flowers as a tribute.
However, you may choose to allow family and friends to upload photos, video and audio directly to the website. Or, if you prefer, they may upload the material directly to your manager’s box, which gives you the option of approving the contents first.

I’m afraid someone might add spume to my loved-one’s site, but I still want my friends to be able to add condolences and photos.

You have two options. The first, is to receive all the material in your manager’s box where you can first inspect it. The ot

her option is to give family members and friends your login and password so they can upload material directly to the site.

I don’t want strangers to visit the web site. Can I keep it completely private?
Yes. You may choose to keep the website private. Only those people you provide with the login and password will be able to access the site. For maximum privacy the name of your loved one will not appear on the site index, nor will a Google.com search direct people to the website.
